What do Domino’s Pizza, Northeastern University, and Beyoncé all have in common? They’ve all been sued for failing to make their websites accessible for disabled users. Accessibility has become an increasingly common buzzword for tech companies, but what does it mean? And how does it affect the software we build? In this workshop we will deep dive into the world of accessibility. We will discuss and experience what it means to be users of varying levels of ability and get hands on experience using adaptive technology. We will also get hands on with accessibility testing, test tools, and discuss how to pick the right tool for the job.
